Dr. Orestes “Resty” Monzon has long been an advocate of art as both an expression of beauty and a vehicle for compassion. Over the years, he has supported, organized, and participated in numerous exhibits that bring together artists, photographers, and medical professionals for the benefit of both culture and community.
Gilas, Puso, Buhay: Handog at Pasasalamat (2025)
Mounted by alumni doctors of the UST Medicine Class of 1981, this exhibition of art and photography featured Dr. Monzon as one of the guest artists. Proceeds were dedicated to the UST Hospital Indigent Fund and supported medical missions for underserved communities
The Laidback Paintings (2024)
A collaboration with Angelito “Jo” Florendo at the UST Museum. The exhibit highlighted the harmony of realist paintings and artistic interpretations, offering audiences a glimpse into the balance of clinical precision and creative imagination.
The Woods are Lovely, Dark and Deep (2016)
A themed exhibition held at The Art Gallery of the Philippine Heart Center, showcasing Monzon’s works alongside Florendo. The show invited viewers to reflect on the quiet power of nature through visual art.
Feeding the Doves: Paintings from Photographs (2011)
A unique collaborative project where Dr. Monzon’s photographs were reimagined on canvas by fellow artists. This exhibit demonstrated his commitment to bridging mediums, inspiring creativity, and fostering collaboration between photographers and painters.
